Why Choose Imperial Grass?

Imperialgrass.com is the residential provider of an artificial grass manufacturer with over 30 years experience in the supply of products of the very highest quality.

Artificial Grass a Cut Above the Rest

We are immensely proud of the quality of the artificial grass products we supply and strongly believe they are unrivalled against the products on offer from many of our competitors. There are a number of reasons for this;

1. Latex backing

The backing of artificial grass is a vitally important structural element, playing its part in ensuring the product’s quality and durability.

On looking at the two images in Figure 1, first impressions may lead you to believe there is very little difference in the two products, however the backs, shown in Figure 2, highlight some key differences.

The Green Oasis artificial grass available from Imperial Grass has superior and considerably more latex backing in comparison to the competitor’s product, with the lack of backing affecting the structural integrity of the grass over a prolonged period of time.

2. Stitch Quality & Rates

A unique and innovative pile anchorage system known as Tuftlock is used on artificial grass products here at Imperial Grass for a closer stitch rate that offers improved structural stability.

As you can see from the two images in Figure 3, one of which is the Imperial Grass, Green Meadow artificial grass and the other a product from a competitor, there is a clear difference in the quality of the stitching between the two.

Stitches on the Green Meadow grass are neat and sit flush to the backing, whereas the stitches on the competitors grass are more ragged and protrude from the backing. Although being a cheaper method of producing artificial grass, the poor quality stitching will lead to a far shorter life span.

3. Materials used in the production process

There are three main materials used in the production of artificial grass:

– Polypropylene is the least expensive of the three groups of materials used and is highly effective for sports products but proves too coarse for use as domestic grass.

– Polyethylene can be used to balance out the coarseness of polypropylene as it creates softer grass due to being a more expensive material, however isn’t suited to being used alone.

– Polyamide (nylon) is the most expensive material available for the production of artificial grass and as a result produces a strong and resilient grass fibre.
